Working in Port St. Lucie

We work Port St. Lucie regularly, mostly around US 1, Port St. Lucie Boulevard, the St. Lucie West district, the Tradition area, and the I-95 and Turnpike corridors.

The city was platted as an enormous grid served by canals and swales, and it carries a large septic-to-sewer conversion effort driven by nitrogen loading into the Indian River Lagoon. Sandy soils, seasonally high water table, and a lot of connection work going into established neighborhoods.

Who calls us here

Septic conversion work at scale, hospital and stadium food service, and master-planned district commercial drainage.

What we run in Port St. Lucie

Port St. Lucie is the biggest septic conversion job on our map, and that is what we are here for. Nitrogen loading into the Indian River Lagoon is what drives it, and the practical result is thousands of established properties getting connected to sewer, one lot at a time, through front yards that already have water, power, cable and irrigation crossing them. Hydro excavation is how a connection gets made without cutting somebody’s service, so we daylight, pothole and slot trench ahead of the contractors doing the tie-ins. Beyond that, the city was platted as an enormous grid drained by canals and swales, and those structures need clearing. Grease work runs through St. Lucie West and Tradition commercial, plus hospital and stadium kitchens.

Getting a truck in

The grid is the challenge. This city covers an enormous footprint of residential streets, so route planning between jobs matters as much as the work itself, and we cluster conversion sites by neighborhood rather than bouncing across town. Residential shoulders are narrow, swaled and soft after rain, which means matting and a spotter rather than optimism. Mailboxes, sprinkler heads and driveway culverts sit exactly where a truck wants to be, and we put every one of them back. St. Lucie West and Tradition are modern commercial with real service access. US 1 and the interstate get us in and out.

Through the year

Conversion excavation runs best in the dry months, when the seasonal water table drops and a trench in sandy soil stays where it was cut, so the heavy connection schedule leans winter into spring. That lines up conveniently with the season population lift that keeps the commercial kitchens busy. Once the rains start, the canals and swales get our attention, and so do the plaza basins that quietly fill with grit all year. Storm preparation is a real part of summer here. The lagoon rules do not have a season though, which is why documentation stays tight all year.

Port St. Lucie sits in St. Lucie County, and everything on this page runs out of our yard in Miami. See the rest of St. Lucie or look at the trucks working.

One call covers both halves of the job in Port St. Lucie

Ask most contractors in this city to pump a trap and daylight a service line in the same week and you are hiring two companies, coordinating two schedules and chasing two sets of paperwork. We built this one so that is a single call.

Take a blocked kitchen line. Clearing it is a jetting job. Finding out why it keeps blocking can mean exposing the lateral, and if that lateral runs under a finished surface next to other buried services, the digging is the careful part. One call, one crew, and nobody pointing at the other guy.

The same logic runs the other way. A restaurant with a line that keeps blocking has a jetting problem and a trap interval problem, and treating either one alone means doing it again in a few months. Because the crew that clears the line is the crew that services the trap, the conversation covers both instead of stopping at the edge of somebody’s scope.

What you get in writing

Every environmental service in Port St. Lucie generates a manifest showing what came out and where it went, before and after photographs, and disposal records from an approved facility. That file is what an inspector asks for, and it is the reason the haulers permit and the dumping permit matter rather than being background detail.

On the excavation side the deliverable is different but the principle is the same. An exposed utility gets measured for depth and offset, identified by size and material, and photographed, so the drawing can be corrected before a trench crew corrects it the expensive way. Everything we run is available across this area, and telling us the job is the fastest way to find out which part of it you actually need.

Around the clock

Something failed tonight in Port St. Lucie. Somebody answers.

Struck line, blocked kitchen drain, a basin backing up in the middle of a storm. We run every day of the year, and the phone reaches a person rather than a queue. This company is first responder owned, and the emergency side of it works the way that suggests.

Questions

Questions we get asked

Do you charge extra to come out to Port St. Lucie?

Port St. Lucie is inside the area we run. Tell us the job and we will tell you plainly whether it makes sense for us to be the ones doing it.

How fast can you get a truck to Port St. Lucie?

Depends what is already running and where you are. Call and you will get a real answer rather than a maybe. We run every day of the year.

Do you service both restaurants and construction sites in Port St. Lucie?

Both. Grease traps and cooking oil on one side, excavation and utility work on the other, out of the same yard.

Do you work nights here?

Regularly. Most kitchen work in Port St. Lucie happens after close, and a lot of utility work has to happen off-peak.

What paperwork do we get?

Manifests, disposal records and photos on the environmental side, and measured, photographed utility records on the excavation side.
