Wanting to build something for the family
Ask the owners why they started this, and the answer is about family. Wanting to help their families, and wanting to build a business that belonged to them. That is the whole origin story, and it is a more honest one than most.
The company is first responder owned and operated. If you have ever wondered why a service business would bother staffing a phone at two in the morning, that is the reason. People who have spent a career being the ones who show up do not find it strange to keep doing it.
What we actually own
The trucks in the photographs are ours. That sounds like a small thing until you have hired a company that brokered your job to whoever had a unit free, and found out on the morning of the work that nobody was coming. Our tankers, our drivers, all of them holding a CDL.
There is a master plumber on staff, which matters more on the grease and drainage side than customers usually realize. The difference between a trap that gets pumped and a trap that gets diagnosed is knowing what you are looking at when the lid comes off.
The permits are the boring part that matters
We hold a haulers permit and a dumping permit, we are bonded and insured, and the company runs under USDOT 4547071 as an active carrier. You can look that number up, and you should, for us and for anybody else you are considering.
The reason it matters is that everything we pump out is a regulated waste stream. Grease, slurry, catch basin sediment, used cooking oil. It has to go somewhere approved, and there has to be paperwork saying it went there. A contractor without those permits still has to put it somewhere. That should worry you.
Two trades, deliberately
Most companies do the excavation side or the environmental side. Running both is a choice, and it comes from the same place as the rest of it: capability. The vacuum truck that pulls slurry out of a utility hole is the truck that pumps a grease trap. The permits that let us haul one let us haul the other. So a restaurant with a blocked kitchen line and a contractor who needs a gas service daylighted before a bore both call the same number.
