Miami Lakes

Excavation, grease and drainage work in Miami Lakes, off our own trucks and answered around the clock.

Working in Miami Lakes

We work Miami Lakes regularly, mostly around Main Street, NW 67th Avenue, and the business park running east toward the Palmetto.

The town was planned around excavated lakes, and that lake system is still the drainage backbone. Northwest Miami-Dade water table conditions apply, which means wet excavation is the norm rather than the exception.

Who calls us here

Office park and business district food service, a walkable Main Street restaurant cluster, and light industrial sites.

What we run in Miami Lakes

The town was planned around excavated lakes and that lake system is still the drainage backbone, so basin and outfall work here connects to open water rather than disappearing into a pipe somewhere. Keeping those inlets clear matters more than usual because the lakes are the amenity everybody looks at. Main Street is a compact walkable restaurant cluster, which means traps in tight back-of-house spaces and shared lines between neighbors. The business park running east toward the Palmetto adds office food service and light industrial sites with paved catchments. Northwest Miami-Dade water table conditions mean any excavation job here is a wet hole, which is exactly the situation where vacuum excavation beats a machine that just makes mud.

Getting a truck in

Main Street is designed for people on foot, so a tanker parked there mid-day is in everybody’s way. We service those kitchens early or after close, usually from a rear service lane, and keep the setup tight. The business park is the opposite: wide streets, real parking, easy in and out, and light industrial yards with space to work. NW 67th Avenue and the Palmetto approach get heavy at rush hour so we schedule around it. Lake-adjacent basin work is done off the shoulder with cones, and after rain the bank edges get soft enough that we stage on pavement rather than grass.

Through the year

Wet season puts the lake system to work, and inlets that feed it need to be clear before the summer rather than during it. Water levels come up and the margin between a working system and a flooded parking lot narrows fast. Hurricane season brings a wave of preparation work across the business park and the residential associations. Office and business district food service tracks the work calendar, so volume dips through the holidays and around the summer vacation stretch, while the Main Street restaurants hold steadier on evening and weekend trade.

Miami Lakes sits in Miami-Dade County, and everything on this page runs out of our yard in Miami. See the rest of Miami-Dade or look at the trucks working.

One call covers both halves of the job in Miami Lakes

Most operators working this town do one side or the other. A vacuum company that pumps grease traps generally does not daylight a gas service, and an excavation outfit generally does not want to hear about your kitchen line. We run both off the same yard in Miami, with the same trucks and the same permit set.

A property manager in Miami Lakes calling about a parking lot that holds water after every storm frequently turns out to have two problems: basins full of sand, and a structure that has settled or cracked below the surface. The first is a cleaning. The second needs somebody who can excavate around whatever else is buried at that low point without cutting it. Those are usually two vendors and two schedules. Here they are one visit.

The same logic runs the other way. A restaurant with a line that keeps blocking has a jetting problem and a trap interval problem, and treating either one alone means doing it again in a few months. Because the crew that clears the line is the crew that services the trap, the conversation covers both instead of stopping at the edge of somebody’s scope.

What you get in writing

Every environmental service in Miami Lakes generates a manifest showing what came out and where it went, before and after photographs, and disposal records from an approved facility. That file is what an inspector asks for, and it is the reason the haulers permit and the dumping permit matter rather than being background detail.

On the excavation side the deliverable is different but the principle is the same. An exposed utility gets measured for depth and offset, identified by size and material, and photographed, so the drawing can be corrected before a trench crew corrects it the expensive way. Everything we run is available across this area, and telling us the job is the fastest way to find out which part of it you actually need.

Our own unit on a job. Everything that comes out of a trap, a basin or a hole in Miami Lakes leaves in the tank and goes to an approved facility under our permits.
Around the clock

Something failed tonight in Miami Lakes. Somebody answers.

Struck line, blocked kitchen drain, a basin backing up in the middle of a storm. We run every day of the year, and the phone reaches a person rather than a queue. This company is first responder owned, and the emergency side of it works the way that suggests.

Questions

Questions we get asked

Do you charge extra to come out to Miami Lakes?

Miami Lakes is inside the area we run. Tell us the job and we will tell you plainly whether it makes sense for us to be the ones doing it.

How fast can you get a truck to Miami Lakes?

Depends what is already running and where you are. Call and you will get a real answer rather than a maybe. We run every day of the year.

Do you service both restaurants and construction sites in Miami Lakes?

Both. Grease traps and cooking oil on one side, excavation and utility work on the other, out of the same yard.

Do you work nights here?

Regularly. Most kitchen work in Miami Lakes happens after close, and a lot of utility work has to happen off-peak.

What paperwork do we get?

Manifests, disposal records and photos on the environmental side, and measured, photographed utility records on the excavation side.
